/// Youth Groups
Dear Parents and Students:
I would like to introduce myself to you, I am Rayna Engle and I am the new Youth Director at Temple Beth Emet. I have been a Youth Director in the community for the past 20 years. It is a pleasure to be part of the professional staff at TBE and I am confident that our youth program will be the best in Broward County. If you are in Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade we have a youth program just for you.
Ofarim (grades K-2) and Chalutzim (grades 3-5) will meet every other Sunday from noon – 2:00, after attending religious school. It is an opportunity for you to come to the Temple to have fun and to be able to socialize with all of your friends. Our programs have a variety of activities, including games, crafts and field trips. Our goal is to promote friendships.
Gesher (grades 6-8) will meet every Tuesday night from 6:30-8:30.
Bogrim (grades 9-12) will meet every Thursday night from 7:00-9:00.
Gesher and Bogrim’s calendar has input directly from the members, so our events are what our teens want!! Our programs will have numerous activities including field trips, overnights, chapter retreat (Camp Shalom, Ocala), games, dances, events with other temples, and even a ski trip (Bogrim Only). We will also have the opportunity to meet other teenagers in our community. Please remember that the Youth Group program is the social component that works hand in hand with our outstanding religious school and does not function in lieu of it. Review the calendar and come out to try any of our programs. I can assure you that once you attend you will be hooked.
If you have any questions concerning any of the above youth groups please feel free to call me at the Temple (954)680-1882 Ext. 145 or e-mail me at rayna@templebethemet.org or rayna417@aol.com. I look forward to meeting all of you real soon!
Shalom,
Rayna Engle, Youth Director
