COVID- 19 and Temple Beth Emet

Southeast Florida is under a mandatory order to “shelter-at-home” through at least the end of April, in an attempt to reduce the impact that COVID-19 has on the health and well-being of our community. Because of this our TBE building is closed to the public until further notice. We will be in touch with updates as we evaluate the evolving situation. We ask that you stay at home as much as possible and that you keep safe.

  • Our rabbis, cantor and staff will continue to stream Shabbat Services at 7:00 pm on Fridays.
  • We will also offer a growing list of virtual programs, and study opportunities. This information will be shared below, and on our Facebook page. Many of our activities will be live on Facebook or ZOOM; you do not need a Facebook account to access any of our material on Facebook. You will need a password to access most of our adult learning programs. PROGRAM UPDATES
  • Our educational programs for kids continue both in person and virtually.  Merkaz Limud, Elementary School and even Early Childhood are all ZOOMing and connecting.

COVID 19

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT AND CLERGY

Dear Temple Beth Emet Families,

We hope that you continue to stay safe and healthy during these challenging times, both emotionally and physically.

We are blessed and proud to have so many staff members working on connecting with our community. We hope that you have had, or will have, an opportunity to connect with us…

  • during one of our virtual services.
  • with our Early Childhood Center through a circle time or a bedtime book reading.
  • within our Elementary School’s new virtual school which will be connecting with our students daily.
  • during our Religious School (Merkaz Limud) sessions that will keep students engaged and learning about Judaism.
  • through our b’nai mitzvah mentors as they continue to work with our students preparing for their b’nai mitzvah.
  • as middle school and high school youth groups meet weekly.
  • on virtual learning opportunities for adults throughout the week.
  • as we hold additional healing services and prayerful experiences.

We will keep our website updated with the newest information on how to stay connected remotely. CLICK HERE

At Temple Beth Emet we continue to work hard partnering with you to keep our congregation going strong. Many people are working remotely. We also have rotating office staff members present with our maintenance staff who are there doing intensive cleaning and repairs, all practicing physical distancing.

Our president, executive board, treasurers, rabbis and senior staff are in constant communication to ensure fiscal responsibility. We will continue to analyze everything we do as the current situation progresses on a daily and weekly basis. We are looking into grant and loan opportunities to ensure our staff members and institution are being taken care of. We have limited our expenses by suspending non-essential costs as well as reducing ongoing expenses to a minimum.

Friends, at this crazy time in our world we need to pull together, help each other and continue to be there and support our Temple Beth Emet family. If there is any way we can support you in this difficult time or believe you can help our TBE community, please call our clergy, staff or board. We are here to help you in this time of need!

With wishes for health and a speedy end to this crisis. Be safe and stay healthy!

L’Shalom,

Howard Lipman          Mark Glater                            Rabbi Bennett Greenspon       Rabbi Frank DeWoskin
